Arenas in World of Warcraft is the most competitive and highest form of PvP battle, in which one can examines a player’s ability to perform Player versus Player combat. It has gathered much attention amongst the World of Warcraft community. Besides the thrill of competition, the rewards from the arenas are arena points which are used to get mage PVP arena weapons and gear.
If a mage wants to be victorious in the arena, he must master the skill of controlling his enemies, due to the fact that the WoW arena mage has the ability to control the arena field, and possesses anti-control spells, and sheep by casting polymorph on opponents while they are mounted. In arenas, most mage players will sheep the other party’s warrior because no one who wears cloth will want to be pursued by a warrior, especially one wielding a two-handed weapon. However, most warriors in arena won’t give the mage a chance to polymorph them into a sheep and will assault him at first sight, so the mage should call out his water elemental to keep his enemy frozen and slowed, then the arena mage will have a better chance of sheeping the warrior successfully or any other classes for that matter.
Many people hate to confront mages in the arenas, posing an analogy that the mage is like a mouse, difficult to catch with their blink and iceblock spells, which are one of the best ways to escape from all classes. Thus, the mage in the arena should be the last one to be killed if his team loses the battle. In the arena, mages have an advantage when meeting warriors in the battle because it is very difficult for the warrior to get into melee range upon a mage. Despite a warrior’s high physical defense, sorcery magic can penetrate through their plate armors. Furthermore, it is easy to kite a warrior to death in the arena as a mage in the World of Warcraft, especially a mage specialized in the Frost tree.
