Rogue PvP Honor Rewards Rules

Rogues in WoW PvP Battlegrounds

The BG rogue is an ambush master. He can sneak into the opposing group during a battle and incapacitate his opponents. He can sap one target, blind another, and then kill of an easy target. The PvP rogue must always pay attention to opportunity targets. Hitting a warrior or a paladin with good gear is usually not worth it. The rogue can instead go after a clothy that does high damage since he can eliminate a major threat very quickly. It is also a good idea to target those low on health. Stealth, ambush, finish off, get out, and stealth back in again. This is an effective strategy to rack up good honor points as a PvP rogue in BGs.

The rogue is useful in the Warsong Gulch battleground as offence because he can sneak into the enemy’s flag room and sap whoever’s guarding the flag. This incapacitates them so the rogue’s team can make a clean getaway with the flag. Even if there are more people guarding the flag, the rogue can at least take one or two opponent out of the picture for a good few seconds.

The rogue can also be good at defense in Warsong Gulch. He can stun flag carriers and use sprint to catch them before they get too far. Although after the flag carrier gets out in the open it can be difficult for the rogue to chase down a ghost wolf or druid in travel form. So it is best to take the enemy out quickly and for this the rogue will likely need the support of his team. If both sides have the flag, the rogue is a good class to do the retrieving. Especially is there are two rogues, they can stealth in to where the flag carrier and his protectors are hiding and surprise them while backup can come in and help finish them off. This is usually good enough to make the flag carrier drop the flag and allow the rogue’s team to quickly cap. To help him be more effective in the battlegrounds, he should get good pvp honor rogue gear and pvp honor weapons to improve his crit rating and attack power.
