Warrior PvP Honor Rewards Rules
Warriors in WoW PvP Battlegrounds
The warrior’s tanking and melee abilities are well suited for farming honor points in battlegrounds where group fights are the norm. In Warsong Gulch Battleground, the warrior is good for chasing down and killing the opposing team’s flag bearer. Another thing he can do is just generally kill off people in the BG, camping near their graveyard. If the warrior can keep his opponents busy or and keep killing them off, his team flag carrier will have an easier time getting back to the base to capture. Sometimes the BG warrior will have to carry the flag foregoing honor points received from straight out killing. With free action potions and good warrior PvP honor armor and weapons with lots of stamina, this shouldn’t be too difficult for the warrior, although it is usually better to leave the carrying to a class with improved speed capabilities like the druid.
In Arathi Basin battleground, warriors shine in the role of attacking the enemy’s resource nodes. His melee damage plus his ability to stay alive make it easier for him to take enemy bases, especially with a healer at his side. The warrior, keen on getting honor points in AB, is not as good for defending resource nodes as he is at attacking. He can’t crowd control, and can easily get sapped or frost trapped without many options to break free. This leads him useless while the enemy takes the node. For this reason, a warrior defending a node should have somebody with him who can crowd control and/or has ability’s to break inflicted crowd control. In AB battleground, the warrior can also camp graveyards and keep his enemy out of the game by harassing and killing them continually for easy honor points. This will leave his team less opposition to capturing those nodes.
In Alterac Valley battleground, the large groups give the warrior lots of support with usually several people healing and others crowd controlling. This gives the warrior in AV the opportunity to charge at the front lines, and plow through kills one after the other. He will be able to gain a good amount of honor points to purchase even better PvP weapons for his next AV assault.
